Thurstonland is a delightful Pennine village with an excellent community spirit. There is a Church of England Endowed Primary/Junior School, a church, a good pub and a thriving cricket club, all adding to the appeal of this beautiful rural locale.
The area is both popular for both walkers and cyclists due to the spectacular local countryside. The Tour de France and The Tour de Yorkshire having passed close to the village in recent years makes Thurstonland an added attraction for cyclists.
