House prices up in West Yorkshire

Figures from the Land Registry show that house prices across the region have risen steadily over the last year.

Despite a mixed message about the state of the current market, house prices rises continue to be underpinned by a lack of supply.  The shortage of new build properties, and the volume of housing that has become private rented property have both contributed to the shortage.

As a result house prices now stand at an avergae price of £155,268 for all house types (including apartments), compared with £151, 414 a year ago.  A rise of 2.54%.
